Vitamin D-3 50,000 IU is an extremely high-strength vitamin D supplement intended for use under the supervision of a qualified healthcare professional.

Vitamin D is a fat-soluble vitamin that contributes to the normal function of the immune system, the maintenance of normal bones and teeth, and normal muscle function. It also contributes to normal blood calcium levels and the normal absorption and utilisation of calcium and phosphorus.

Each softgel provides 1,250 µg of vitamin D3, equivalent to 50,000 IU.

Important Warnings

50,000 IU is a medically significant dose of vitamin D. Use only under medical supervision and preferably following blood tests confirming that this dose is appropriate.

Excessive vitamin D intake can cause dangerously high calcium levels and may damage the kidneys, heart and other organs.

If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, use only under the care of your doctor.

Consult your doctor before use if you take medication—especially cardiac glycosides, atorvastatin or thiazide diuretics—or if you have a medical condition, particularly hypercalcaemia, hyperparathyroidism, kidney disease, kidney stones or sarcoidosis.

Stop taking the product and seek medical advice if you experience recurring gastrointestinal discomfort, nausea, vomiting, constipation, excessive thirst or urination, muscle pain, weakness, confusion or heart palpitations.

Do not combine with other vitamin D or calcium supplements unless advised by a healthcare professional.
